People and Technology
Butterfield group continues to reinvest its profits and operates a continual investment programme into both its People and Technology.
The two most significant upgrades are the recent replacement of our laser cutting equipment and Flatbed direct to media digital printer.
We investigated the market to ensure the equipment was the correct fit to facilitate our existing clientele but also ensure we could expand our current supply offer into additional market sectors.
The environmental credentials on both investments were outstanding and in keeping with our ISO 14001 policy of continually improving our environmental practices and creating a greener environment.
The investment into this equipment and other specialist manufacturing equipment over the last 6 months will enable Butterfield to increase output capacities and continue to provide the highest levels of quality at the most competitive rates.
The newly installed flatbed printer is an AGFA Hybrid Anapurna LED series unit. It has a 4/6 colour high speed print range of up to 2.5m wide. It prints white to facilitate back lighting when printing onto clear and includes direct UV curable inkjet systems to facilitate both external and indoor application.
The printer is equipped with powerful energy saving UV LED lamps to facilitate the curing process and enables better stability when printing on thinner sheet material.
The laser unit is a TRUMF 3030 solid state Fiber laser, and has the capacity to high speed precision cut all types of metals including specialist alloys.
All equipment is controlled and centrally programmed by our design team to ensure all components fully integrate at the final assembly stage of the manufacturing process.
